Coaching for senior leaders

    How does it work?

    Meet virtually with Dr. Nick Falvo—typically once a month for one hour at a time—to discuss challenges or queries you have about system planning, programming, public policy, and even ‘hair on fire’ issues. You may have questions such as:

      • I’m new to the homelessness‑serving sector. Can you give me a high‑level overview of how the system works, including common terminology and which orders of government are responsible for what?
      • I have a new program concept and would welcome your guidance on the best path to develop it.
      • Can you tell me, generally, what the research says about the following topic?
      • I have a research question. Do I need to commission a new report on the topic, or is there already good research available on it?
      • There’s a prominent voice on social media commenting on X Subject. Could you help me evaluate how accurate their claims might be?
      • My organization has been asked to sign on to a new campaign, but I have some reservations about it. What do you think of it?

    During confidential coaching sessions, Dr. Falvo can provide you with a ‘safe space’ and serve as a well-informed sounding board grounded in sector expertise. He’ll also offer to prepare a short briefing note for you on the topic after each session.

    Target audience

      • Senior leaders in homelessness or affordable housing sectors (or persons working in related sectors such as healthcare, law enforcement, public libraries, etc.)
      • This may include staff at the rank of manager and above in both the non-profit sector and public service.
      • Elected officials and political staff who would benefit from sector-wide orientation/onboarding.

    Cost

      • CA$200/hr. + applicable taxes
      • End-of-fiscal funds can be used to pay in lump sums.

    Payment options

      • Hourly option (ideal for smaller organizations) – Payment is made up front for a 5-hour or 10-hour allocation of Dr. Falvo’s time.
      • Retainer option (ideal for larger organizations) – An up-front payment of, say, $10K or $20K is provided; client organization then has access to Dr. Falvo until associated hours are used up.
