Why was Toronto chosen for the 2027 national study tour?

Toronto has a rich history with social housing broadly, supportive housing specifically, and homelessness programming. Much of this has been driven by community-based activism and lived experience over many decades. A major feature of our study tour will be a tour of the Regent Park Revitalization. We’ll see its newest-completed building, learn about the Master Plan, and view both old and new Regent Park. How much is the registration fee and what does the registration fee cover?

The registration fee for this study tour is CA$1,950 + applicable taxes. That includes a one-week guided tour with a focus on social housing and homelessness. It also includes several webinars taking place before the actual study tour. Finally, Dr. Nick Falvo will provide all study tour participants with a final report summarizing all learnings. Participants are responsible for their own travel, accommodation, and meals.

What about accommodations during the tour?

A group rate will be negotiated at a downtown Toronto hotel. Stay tuned for updates.

How do I register?

Individuals wishing to participate in the 2027 national study tour to Toronto, ON, can register using the online form that will be made available once registration goes live on December 1, 2026. Once submitted, you or your designated paymend coordinator will contacted for payment to confirm your spot on the tour.
